The restoration work of Il Lago, a humid area existing near the homonymous shelter along the road leading to Vitareta, has begun. The pond represents a suitable environment for the preservation of the Yellowbelly toad and the Italian crested newt, unfortunately over the years the water level and the size of the pond have been considerably reduced, so much so that only a large puddle is observed today. The work in progress consists in operations to increase the level in the depression and to allow even longer water time to stretch. In addition, as the Yellowbelly toad needs sunny environments, it is necessary to cut the trees that shade the area.
