Autumn and Winter are the best seasons to carry out the interventions without interfering with the amphibians reproductive season. The Casentino Union of Municipatility works are building a new pond near Fonte Cantoniera (or Fonte Fosso Acquai) in the Foreste Casentinesi National Park. At the end of works a vegetazional restoration will be carried out, so that the next spring the pond will be ready for the new guests.
