As part of the Life WetFlyAmphibia project, some barriers have been built to traverse the amphibians along the access road to the Romagna Acque outlet on the Rio Bacine, a tributary of the Bidente di Ridracoli. The intervention was necessary to avoid the investments to the detriment of Salamandrina perspicillata, which can sometimes occur during the spring period, when the species usually moves to the stream downstream of the road to return to the breeding sites. Thanks to the barriers, the salamanders are obliged to cross the road (passandro under it) using wells for the collection of already existing water. The interventions were made thanks to a precious collaboration of Romagna Acque - Società delle Fonti, which became available to carry out the interventions and was sensitive to the conservation of this important protected species.
