ACTION D1: MONITORING OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF CONSERVATION ACTIONS ON THE POPULATIONS OF THE TARGET SPECIES OF AMPHIBIANS AND BUTTERFLIES
Status : Not started.
Monitoring of the activity of the project during the last year shall be carried out , thanks to the interventions implemented by concrete action C1, both in the restored sites and in those newly created. This will be possible thanks to accurate visual inspections, which shall allow to ascertain colonisation of the area by amphibians and butterflies.
The detailed study of the amphibian populations shall be carried out by looking into the intervention sites of action C1 between March and August - which is the breeding period – by using the same methods of preparatory action A1.
The detailed study of the distribution of the populations of Euplagia quadripunctaria* e Eriogaster catax butterflies shall be carried out between April and October, when the chrysalises become adults.
